SIRC TRUE PERSPECTIVES SEMINAR – April 12 -  Buddy Carter

On April 12, our representative in Congress Buddy Carter described the GOP effort to take back the House in this year’s midterm elections. Normally the party not in the White House flips about 27 seats. When the president’s popularity is under 50% (Biden’s at 42%), 37 seats flip back on average.  The GOP only needs 5 to oust Nancy Pelosi, so a GOP return is almost certain. Yet surprises are always possible.

Therefore Republican leadership (National Republican Congressional Committee) has a plan to make sure Nancy Pelosi loses.  Carter is a vice chair for the Eastern third of the US, and has key information on swing districts where a small amount of resources can have the biggest effect.

He heads a political action committee (known as the BuddyPAC), where individuals can donate more than the usual $2,800.

For those not in attendance at our recent event, you can donate via check mailed in and made out to BuddyPAC, with information in the form below.

Or you can pay by credit card on the BuddyPAC website:

If you are still employed you need to list your employer’s name.

Buddy and his PAC will allocate all those funds to the campaigns that can most use them.  None of the funds can be used in Buddy’s own reelection campaign.

Buddy also described what Congress is likely to do after taking it back from the Democrats. He sees the
Senate going Republican as well, but not enough to be veto proof on legislation.

The 1994 historic GOP resurgence was led by Newt Gingrich with his “Contract With America.” This year it will be “Commitment to America”, describing how Republicans plan to restore confidence and prosperity again.

There will be programs to undo many of the policy disasters of the Biden Administration in:
. Porous Southern border
. Foreign policy blunders.
. Inflation out of control
. Energy incompetence
. Crime surge
. COVID mismanagement
, War on parental interest in education
. Inappropriate woke emphasis.

If Biden chooses to ignore the GOP solutions, there may well be Democratic Senators and Representatives willing to consider a veto override, to help keep them elected in the future.

He was also optimistic on getting Herschel Walker elected to the Senate, and keeping the Governorship of Georgia in the GOP. (The SIRC is also planning donation events for those offices after the May Primary elections.)
